Welcome

SRA-E 2026 – Advancing Risk Science for a Safer and Fairer Future
University of Alicante, Spain | May 26–29, 2026

We are delighted to announce that the 2026 Annual Conference of the Society for Risk Analysis – Europe (SRA-E) will take place from May 26 to 29 at the University of Alicante, Spain. Set along the Mediterranean Spanish coast, the UA offers an ideal venue for critical discussions about the future of risk science in a changing world.

The theme of SRA-E 2026, Advancing Risk Science for a Safer and Fairer Future, highlights the urgent need to address risk in ways that promote both safety and justice—particularly for vulnerable populations that disproportionately bear the impacts of emerging threats.

This year’s conference invites contributions that expand the frontiers of interdisciplinary risk research and emphasize inclusive governance, innovative methodologies, and actionable insights. We especially encourage work that bridges the gap between academic inquiry and practical application.
SRA-E 2026 will feature keynote lectures, sessions covering all aspects of risk analysis—including assessment, perception, communication, management, and governance—and opportunities for dynamic exchange among scholars, practitioners, and stakeholders.

Join us in Alicante to share your research, build connections, and contribute to advancing risk science that not only protects but also empowers.
We look forward to welcoming you to Alicante in May 2026!

Chair of the SRA-E 2026 Conference
